Why are there no pre-punched stitching holes on the patterns?
You will learn a more professional method of gluing the seams first and then punching the stitching holes. This approach is not only quicker and more efficient, but it also helps you develop essential leathercraft skills that will serve you well in future projects.
Why chrome-tanned leather?
When selling leather bags, we found that many women gravitated towards butter-soft leather as there is something irresistible about its luxurious feel. That is why we designed our patterns with soft, chrome-tanned leather in mind. Many of the world's most prestigious fashion houses rely heavily on chrome-tanned leather for their high-end bags and accessories.
Can I use vegetable-tanned leather instead of chrome-tanned?
You are welcome to use vegetable-tanned leather but bear in mind that you may need to use a skiving tool to reduce some of the bulk on the edges, especially on the gussets.
